Lead the Change: A Global Round Table Discussion Event

by | May 12, 2020 | General

What an honour it was to host our first (of many) events to launch and showcase the partnership between Seema Global Consulting (USA) and Dominion Phillips Consultancy (India).  This was done in an online forum which we hope to continue in person when my company relocates to India.  In the meantime, we thought it would be great to take advantage of this venue.

Our topic for this event was “Women in Leadership”.  Rowena Phillips, Co-director at Dominion Phillips Consultancy, and I hosted a panel of six fabulous panelists, three from India and three from America.  We are so thankful for their time, wisdom and sharing as we together hoped to inspire, encourage and equip leaders to grow forward in their own journeys.

Kavita Ghatge — HR Advisor and Consultant, from Nagpur, India

Dr. Dipti Christian — Former Principal at Hislop College in Nagpur, India

Dr. Angelina Dias — Director of Livewell Physiotherapy and Incontinence Rehab Clinic, Nagpur, India

Gretchen Murphy — Chief Human Resources at Service Express Inc., in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA

Tabitha Pope — Disability & Inclusion Specialist at Southern Nazarene University in Oklahoma, USA

We initially met on a Zoom call for Gallup Certified Strengths Coaches and exchanged LinkedIn profiles. We connected again on Zoom and then met in person when I visited the USA last summer! Our conversations had depth, connection, honesty, and vulnerability. So, when Joy mentioned she was traveling and couldn’t get an appointment with her usual stylist, I was overjoyed to step in! ✂️The consultation was brief yet clear. She knew what she wanted, and I had the technique and talent to get her there!I cut her hair, and she was able to style it just the way she wanted to. The result? Another happy client! ❤️It’s always a joy when connection, trust, and skill come together. Now, I’d love to ask you:✨ Have you ever turned an online connection into a meaningful in-person experience?✨ How have your professional connections opened doors to unexpected opportunities?Share your experience in the comments!#hairstyling #professionalconnections #networking #trust #womeninbusiness #seemaglobalconsulting #growingforwardtogether ...
