This is Part 3 in a four-part series on Models of Sustainability.  In this dialogue we will be talking about an international approach to providing sustainability to marginalized communities in Nagpur, India.

My guest today has been with us previously when we dialogued about  Understanding Caste: The Friendship of a Brahmin and a Dalit I am excited to have Vaibhav Moon back to talk about his approach in living out a model of sustainability in an international context.

One of the elements that plays a large role in this international model is that of culture.  Since his organization, Udhhar Multipurpose Society, is in Nagpur, India, we discuss how cultural norms can impact progress in a negative way and yet can have a profound positive impact for pace of growth as well.

Be sure and listen to the podcast to hear how Vaibhav weaves the cultural nuances through the dialogue.  Many people don’t realize it, but all communities whether local or international have individuals with limited access to resources.  Our passion for such marginalized communities was shared often during our dialogue.

We matched, so I had to post a pic!!
